About the role:

We are currently searching for a disability support worker for our Social & Community Hub to work in various locations in the Redland Bay Region (Alexandra Hills, Capalaba, Redlands). The role will be aimed at providing care to maximise the social, living and recreational skills of various participants living in the Reglands region.

Candidates will need to be kind, caring, patient and willing to build capacity for the participants to achieve their personal goals. Strong communication, initiative, problem solving skills and previous experience is a must.

The successful candidate will be required to adhere to care plans, administer medications, complete shift notes and any other reports that may be necessary. Candidate must also take direction from their Area Coordinator and work well in a team.

Hourly rates will be negotiated based on qualifications and experience.

What’s on offer:

  • 30-38 hours per week (Monday to Friday, occasional weekend work)

The successful applicant will have:

  • Availability across 7 days to work 30+hours per week
  • Relevant work experience & at least five years of lived experience
  • Experience working with mental health and challenging behaviours
  • Relevant qualification or willing to complete
  • NDIS New worker screening card or willing to obtain
  • Confident driver with a valid license and comprehensive car insurance
  • Valid CPR and First Aid Certificates or willing to obtain
  • Experience administering and charting medications
  • Strong communication, both written and verbal
  • Full working rights in Australia
  • Tech savvy
